Batu Caves which is located in the north of Kuala Lumpur, is a historical religious attraction in Malaysia. It is a limestone hill that comprises of three major caves, the cathedral cave, the museum cave and art gallery cave. Visitors can get a scenic view of KL city by standing at the top of the hill. The biggest cave which is known as the Cathedral cave houses a number of shrines on either side. Rising almost 100 m above the ground, the Batu Caves temple complex consists of three main caves and a few smaller ones. The biggest, referred to as Cathedral Cave or Temple Cave, has a very high ceiling and features ornate Hindu shrines. To reach it, visitors must climb a steep flight of 272 steps.Thus, Batu Caves is definitely a place that should not be missed when you are in KL!
