About this Place Of Interest

The Petronas Twin Towers are twin skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which achieved the title of the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004. To date, they are the tallest twin towers in the world. The buildings are the most iconic landmark of Kuala Lumpur, located near the Kuala Lumpur Tower. The towers were designed by Argentinian architect Cesar Pelli, who chose a distinctive postmodern style to reflect the development of the city in the 21st-century. Planning of the Petronas Towers started on 1 January 1992 and included rigorous tests and simulations of wind and structural loads on the design.
