About this Place Of Interest

Located in Air Itam, Kek Lok Si is said to be the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. It has been traditionally regarded as having the right feng shui for a temple. The construction of the building began in 1893 and was inspired by the chief monk of the Kwan Yin temple at Pitt Street. It is one of the popular highlights of Penang.
