Penglipuran Village is a scenic highland village in the regency of Bangli in East Bali, best known for its well-preserved culture and rustic charm. While most of its residents have embraced modernity, the traditional design of its individual compounds has been retained for the sake of visitors, from manicured gardens lining a stone-paved street that runs through the centre of the village, to beautiful arched entrance gates and walls that conceal their houses within.
