Gunung Api Merapi Museum showcases the residues and history of the Mount Merapi volcano that erupted in 2010. The violent series of eruptions killed a total of 353 people and forced the evacuation of 350,000 people. This eruption paralysed Yogyakarta for about a month, as an effect of the volcanic ash dispersal.
