Thean Hou Temple

Thean Hou Temple, one of Southeast Asia’s oldest and largest temples, was built in 1894 by the Hainanese community in Kuala Lumpur in order to worship Tian Hou, the Goddess of the Heavens. Since its official opening in 1989, it has welcomed worshippers and tourists from all around the world. Apart from Thean Hou, devotees also come to worship Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, and Mazu, the Goddess of the Waterfront.
