The KL Bird Park is located in the scenic Lake Gardens and is known to be the world’s largest walk-in-free-flight aviary. It is a home for over 3000 birds of approximately 200 species of both foreign and local birds. The main feature that distinguishes the KL Bird Park from other parks in the country is the implementation of the free-flight concept. The concept of free-flight allows the birds to move about freely without much restriction. The park is divided into four zones: Zone 1 and 2 make up the free-flight zone; Zone 3 is the Hornbill Park and Zone 4 is where the birds are placed in separate cages and mini aviaries. The bird park has also actively begun its breeding programme since 2002.
